"The Red Cross needs your help as Nashville's blood supply reaches a critical low.
Right now, the local Red Cross says it only has a half-day supply left of most blood types. Nurses say this isn't a new problem.
The summertime is often slow because people are out of town. If you'd like to help out and donate blood, you can stop by the Red Cross headquarters on Charlotte Avenue. They take blood donations Monday through Saturday. Today, they will be taking donations from 9:00 A.M. until 6:30 Monday night.
